About Me

An alumunus of AFMC Pune, I worked in armed forces medical services, in various medical and admin. posts (unit mo, graded specialist, classified specialist, senior advisor & consultant neurosurgery) for 32 years. During this long and fruitful journey, had vast experience of treating over 75,000 Neurosurgical patients with satisfactory Surgery of over 4,500 cases of Brain & Spine conditions. These included an array of neurosurgical conditions ranging from head & spine injuries to brain & spinal tumors, neurovascular, paediatric, endoscopic, skull base, functional & stroke surgeries. Also, mastered endoscope, microscope, spinal instrumentatation, deformity correction & other advances in Neurosurgery. A qualified and recognised professor, PG teacher, examiner, assessor, and paper setter for neurosurgery and surgery by various Indian universities and DNB New delhi. Also have numerous publications, chapter in books, reseach work, conference presentations, guest lectures, chairing of sessions, conducted CMEs/Updates/ Workshops & member of many prestigious national and international societies. Have trained a large number of junior neurosurgeons with pride & satisfaction. My mission ahead is to provide the highest quality of specialised care with compassion, to the patients with neurosurgical and spinal ailments. The practice and advances of modern science should reach more and more patients. My team, working as a mission, should be able to deliver the highest quality of care and comfort to my patients. And therefore, my hospital/center should remain/become one of the centres of excellence in this difficult but important field of Medicare.
