Dr. Mukundan Seshadri is a highly respected surgeon in Bangalore with expertise in cardiovascular, thoracic, and general surgery. He has worked at various reputed hospitals in India and abroad for over 30 years. Currently, he works at the Manipal Hospital in the Whitefield area of Bangalore as a Consultant in Cardio - Vascular And Thoracic Surgery. He is highly educated in his field with degrees like MBBS, MS, MCh, and DNB. He has performed 7700 open heart surgeries in his career. He completed his MBBS at the reputed BJ Medical College in Pune in 1983. He completed an MS in General Surgery at the Byramjee Jeejeebhoy Government Medical College in Pune in 1986. During his training, he worked at the Sasson General Hospital in the city for a while. He got the second rank in his General Surgery batch. He is trained in performing Balloon Mitral Valvuloplasty, coronary angiogram, carotid angioplasty, and stenting surgery. He worked as a Chief of Cardiovascular Surgery at the Bhagwan Mahaveer Jain Heart Centre in Bangalore. He has an interest in cardiovascular surgeries of children as well. He is a member of the Karnataka Association of Cardiovascular-Thoracic Surgeons. He has been published in the JTCS (The Journal of Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery). He is an expert in performing peripheral angioplasty, coronary angioplasty, bypass surgery, and invasive cardiac surgery.
