Currently practising at Manipal Hospital Malleshwaram as a Consultant - Hematology and Hemato-Oncology, Dr. Kumar is well-known for his expertise in diagnosing and treating blood-related disorders and cancers, including leukaemia (acute myelogenous leukaemia, acute lymphoblastic leukaemia, & chronic myeloid leukaemia), lymphoma (Hodgkin's & non-Hodgkin's lymphoma), multiple myeloma, myelodysplastic syndromes, aplastic anaemia, and solid tumours. He is the foremost Hemato-Oncologist in Malleshwaram, Bangalore. • Dr. Satish Kumar is well versed in pre-transplant evaluation of patients and their donors and in the prevention and management of regimen-related toxicity, graft-vs-host disease, and the infectious complications of bone marrow transplantation. He also has specialised experience in managing complex cases that require hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (bone marrow transplant). • Dr. Satish Kumar earned his MBBS from Jagadguru Sri Shivarathreeshwara Medical College, Karnataka, followed by an MD in internal Medicine from Kasturba Medical College, Manipal. He further pursued a DM - Hematology from King Edward Memorial Hospital, Mumbai, which refined his skills in haematological malignancies and advanced treatments in his field. To enhance his expertise, he completed a Fellowship in Bone Marrow Transplantation for a period of one year at Vancouver General Hospital, Canada, where he received advanced training in managing adults with leukaemia as well as all aspects of allogeneic and autologous hematopoietic stem cell transplantation. • In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Satish Kumar A is deeply committed to advancing medical knowledge through research and education. He has authored numerous research papers and chapters in haematology and presented his work at national and international conferences.
