Dr. Acharyya’s journey began with graduating with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS), and a Diploma in Child Health (DCH) from Calcutta Medical College, Kolkata. She later obtained a Diplomate of National Board (DNB) in Pediatrics, and a Doctor of Medicine (MD) in Pediatrics from Patna Medical College, Patna. Her relentless pursuit in the field of pediatric gastroenterology has enriched her in acquiring a fellowship in the Royal College of Pediatrics and Child Health (FRPCH), a DNB in Gastroenterology, an Advanced Post Graduate Diploma in Pediatric Nutrition (APGPN), and a Diploma in Probiotics in Pediatrics, from Biogaia Academy Program, Sweden. He is the foremost pediatric Gastroenterologist in Mukundapur, Kolkata. Dr. Acharyya’s expertise encompasses the areas of addressing pediatric diseases, such as eosinophilic gastrointestinal diseases (EGID), pediatric liver disease, GI Bleeding, lactation problems, restless child disorders, and bedwetting. She is also proficient in employing various intricate procedures, including advanced Endoscopic procedures such as Endoscopic ultrasound (EUS), Manometries, and breath tests for accurate diagnosis and treatment in the gastrointestinal and hepatobiliary system. Dr. Acharyya played a crucial role in establishing the first pediatric gastroenterology and Hepatology Department at a prominent Hospital in Mukundapur, highlighting her effective leadership qualities. She has also pioneered in setting up the pediatric gastroenterology and Hepatology Department, and The Pediatric Endoscopic Unit for Diagnostic and Therapeutic Endoscopy and Colonoscopy at The Institute of Child Health, Kolkata. Moreover, Dr. Acharya is a mentor to many postgraduate pediatric trainee students, guiding them to be proficient in their domain. Dr. Acharryya is an active member of many prestigious societies, including the Royal College of Pediatrics and Child Health (MRCPH), and the Asia Pacific Pediatric Society for Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Nutrition (APPSPGHAN). She is very active in organizing, hosting, participating, and presenting at numerous conferences, earning her praise and accolades for her oratory skills.
