Dr. Akshat Malik is a highly specialized Head & Neck cancer surgeon. He holds a M Ch degree in Head & Neck surgery. He completed his Masters in Surgery (MS) from Delhi University. Thereafter, he was trained in Head & Neck cancer surgery from the highly coveted Tata Memorial Centre, Mumbai where he completed M Ch in Head & Neck surgery. He has developed and refined the art and craft of managing all spectrums of head and neck cancers in a multi-disciplinary and evidenced-based manner. He is a certified robotic cancer surgeon He was selected for a competitive Royal College of Surgeon’s senior clinical fellowship in advanced head & neck surgery from the prestigious Imperial College, London. He has been part of various clinical trials and has published extensively in several international journals. He has been an invited reviewer for many prestigious journals and has contributed chapters to various authoritative books in the specialty. He has been a proponent for increasing cancer awareness amongst the general public and has helped train specialists, medical officers as well as auxiliary healthcare workers in cancer screening. He has written invited articles related to head and neck cancers in several languages in leading newspapers in the country. He follows an ethical approach towards managing his patients and is driven by patient satisfaction and good functional results. He performs the entire gamut of head and neck cancer surgeries, resections and reconstructions, including robotic surgery, skull base surgeries, and complex recurrent and salvage resections.
