Dr. Subramanyam S Mahankali is a senior consultant in anesthesiology at Aster RV Hospital, Bengaluru. Prior to Aster, he was a senior consultant anaesthetist & academic coordinator at Columbia Asia Referral Hospital, Bengaluru. Dr. Subramanyam S Mahankali is an alumnus of All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi. He did his postgraduate training at AIIMS, Delhi and comprehensive specialist training in Nottingham, UK. He has a special interest in teaching and patient safety. His area of clinical interest includes orthopaedic anaesthesia, transplant anaesthesia, regional anaesthesia, thoracic anaesthesia, spinal surgery, neuro anaesthesia, paediatric anaesthesia, and obstetric anaesthesia. Dr. Subramanyam S Mahankali is also a section editor and editorial board member of the Journal of Anaesthesiology and Clinical Pharmacology. He is an editorial board member of the Academy of Regional Anaesthesia of India and also for the Indian Journal of Clinical Anaesthesia. Dr. Subramanyam S Mahankali is a recipient of the National Merit Scholarships, India from 1988 to 1995. He was also awarded Membership of the National Academy of Medical Sciences, New Delhi. Dr. Subramanyam S Mahankali has worked as a member, VVIP care team (AIIMS, New Delhi) during the National festivals of Republic Day & Beating the Retreat. He is also a Section Editor, Journal of Clinical Anaesthesia and Pharmacology, Scientific Chair, 5th National Conference of the Academy of Regional Anaesthesia of India. Dr. Subramanyam S Mahankali has worked as a leader in developing, designing, and running elective orthopaedic theatres to improve orthopaedic efficiency.
