Dr. Arup Ratan Dutta is a distinguished nephrologist with over three decades of experience in nephrology, dialysis, and kidney transplantation. A gold medallist in MBBS from Calcutta University, he completed MD and DM from PGIMER, Chandigarh, and later earned FRCP status from London. He currently serves as Director of Nephrology at Fortis Gariahat and consults at multiple top-tier hospitals in Kolkata. Dr. Dutta introduced chronic peritoneal dialysis, CRRT, and plasmapheresis to Kolkata and has overseen thousands of successful long-term dialysis cases and transplant programs. He has held leadership positions within the Indian Society of Nephrology and founded the Peritoneal Dialysis Society of India.
