About Me

Dr Murali Krishna is a UK-trained psychiatrist with close to two decades of clinical experience in managing a wide range of mental health disorders, including addictions, across inpatient, outpatient, and community settings. He specializes in mental health care for working-age and older adults and is trained in delivering cognitive behavioral therapy and cognitive stimulation therapies. Dr. Krishna is instrumental in designing and implementing psychiatric services in the UK and Mysore, India. In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Krishna has conducted extensive mental health research in low- and middle-income countries like India. His interdisciplinary collaborations with leading scientists have enhanced studies with genetic, molecular, and environmental data unique to resource-poor settings. As a member of multiple research consortia, he has significantly contributed to ‘big data’ providing opportunities for transcultural and global comparisons in areas such as healthy aging. Furthermore, Dr. Krishna has developed innovative mobile applications for diagnosing dementia and providing therapeutic support to patients' families.
