Dr. Soumya Patra is a Senior Consultant Interventional Cardiologist & Structural heart intervention specialist, and Cath Lab Incharge at AMRI Hospital, Mukundapur, Kolkata. He is also a visiting consultant at Medica Superspecialty Hospital. He is a board-certified cardiologist with over 15 years of experience in the field. He has a special interest in interventional cardiology and structural heart interventions. He is also a member of various professional organizations, including the American College of Cardiology, the European Society of Cardiology, and the Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions. Dr. Patra completed his MBBS from R.G. Kar Medical College, Kolkata, and his MD in Pediatrics from the same institute. He then pursued his DM in Cardiology from the National Board of Examinations, New Delhi. He has also done fellowships in Interventional Cardiology from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow, UK, and in Structural Heart Interventions from the Royal College of Physicians, Edinburgh, UK. Dr. Patra is a highly skilled and experienced interventional cardiologist. He has performed thousands of successful angioplasties, stents, and other interventional procedures. He is also an expert in structural heart interventions, such as balloon valvuloplasty, transcatheter aortic valve implantation (TAVI), and mitral valve repair.
