• Dr. Karthik Rao is one of the best Senior Consultants at Intensive Care Unit Yeshwanthpur, currently employed at Manipal Hospitals in Bangalore. He completed his post-graduation in Anaesthesia in March 2001 from K.E.M Hospital and worked for a year as a Senior Registrar & 2 months as a lecturer at MS Ramaiah Teaching Hospital, Bangalore. Subsequently, for the last 5 years, he has been working in the UK in Intensive Care and anaesthesia at various prestigious institutes. • He gained significant proficiencies in managing sick patients (3-4 organ failure), and ventilatory modalities including high-frequency oscillations besides conventional ventilation. Additionally, he has acquired strong working knowledge in performing 2-D Echocardiography in critically ill patients and interpretations of excellent monitoring such as Oesophageal Doppler, Swan Ganz catheters, LIDCCO etc. He is also confident in performing fibre optic bronchoscopies & percutaneous tracheostomies. Excellent communication and practical procedures reflects his core strengths.
