"Dr. Shaheen Akhtar is a Consultant in Obstetrics and Gynaecology Department, Manipal Hospitals, Mysore. She comes with immense knowledge in her field and has an impressive professional record with experience of more than a decade, which makes her one of the best Obstetrician and Gynaecologist in Mysore. A brilliant doctor that she is, she has earned many accolades in her academic and professional journey. Dr. Akhtar secured Distinction in II MBBS and a Gold Medal in Surgery in MBBS final exams conducted by Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore. For her credits she also has a dissertation on the topic “A correlative study of association of ovarian changes assessed by Transvaginal Sonography with clinical & endocrine changes of PCOS” Dr. Akhtar constantly strives to deliver her best and provide each patient a personalized attention and care. Her field of expertise include high risk pregnancy treatment and care, infertility treatment, laparoscopic surgical procedures, contraception and preconception counselling, adolescent health, menopausal health care, and cancer screening. In the quest to keep expanding her knowledge and be abreast about the recent developments in the field of obstetrics and gynaecology, Dr. Akhtar keeps attending CMEs and workshops, such as Laparoscopy workshop by IAGE at Bangalore - Sep 2022. She has been an active member of Member of Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists and has several fellowship degrees such as Clinical reproductive medicine and infertility - Baby Science Hospital, Bangalore, Laparoscopy course at Paul’s Hospital, Kochi to name a few.
