Dr. K Himabindu is an obstetrician and gynaecologist, well-known in the medical field for her expertise in fetal medicine, pregnancy issues, and other gynaecological disorders. With medical degrees like MBBS and DGO in Gynaecology and Obstetrics and a fellowship in fetal medicine, she has gathered around 15 years of experience. Dr. Himabindu is a Consultant - Fetal Medicine at the Manipal Hospital, Whitefield, Bangalore. She is an expert in performing various fetal scans during pregnancy, such as anomaly scans, where she checks the baby's general anatomy, development, and any oddities the baby might have. She has completed her MBBS from the Dayanand Medical College and Hospital Ludhiana, Punjab. Since she always wanted to be an Obstetrician, she pursued the degree of DGO (Diploma in Gynaecology and Obstetrics) from the Devaraj URS Medical College Kolar. She completed her diploma in 2011 and associated herself with medical institutions to get into the mainstream she has always been passionate about. She is also certified to perform other scans like Cervical Assessment Scans and Uterine Artery Doppler by the Fetal Medicine Foundation. She is highly skilled in performing various invasive procedures, such as fetal blood transfusions, amniocentesis, amnio drainages, fetal reduction and fetoscopic LASER procedures, chorionic villus sampling, and many more. She is a Fetal Medicine Foundation-certified Obstetrician in invasive procedures and anomaly scans. Dr. Himabindu is an expert in pre and post-delivery care, gynaecological endoscopy, gynaecological laparoscopy, and related procedures.
