Dr. Reshma Krishnan is an acclaimed fetal medicine specialist in Bangalore as she specialises in foetal medicine, imaging, diagnostic procedures, and Gynaec USG and has been a specialist for over 18 years in this field. She is currently working as a Consultant in Foetal Medicine and Gynae USG Specialist at the Manipal Hospital located in Whitefield. She is an accomplished academic with medical degrees like MBBS and DGO, along with various fellowships and memberships. She did her MBBS from the Topiwala National Medical College in Mumbai, graduating in 1999. She decided to pursue further education in the field of Gynaecology and completed her DGO (Diploma in Gynaecology and Obstetrics) from the Kurla Bhabha Hospital in Mumbai in 2003. Internationally, she has a membership in the International Society of USG in OBG and Gynaecology (ISUOG). She is an expert in using various types of scanning devices, imaging techniques, and equipment used for performing different gynaecological scans and antenatal scans. She has a deep knowledge of the entire diagnostic and imaging procedure. She has expertise in USG (2D, 3D and 4D) and is skilled in dealing with high-risk pregnancies, multiple pregnancies, etc. She is an expert in conducting Gynae USG to detect Uterine anomalies, uterine pathologies, and ovarian pathologies. She is a part of the Medical Ultrasound Society of India, also known as MUSK. She is registered with the Indian Medical Association as well. She conducts screenings for detecting chromosomal abnormalities in the first trimester. This includes screenings like early pregnancy scans, NT scans with a double marker, and PIGF. She performs Anomalies Scans used for detecting major structural abnormalities and third-trimester interval growth scans like Doppler studies and IG scans. She does counselling for high-risk patients related to the abnormalities of their foetus and their genetic conditions. Before joining Manipal Hospital, she also worked with Cloudnine Hospitals as a Visiting Consultant. She was also a Visiting Consultant at other prestigious hospitals like Jeevika Hospital, Yashomati Hospital, and Vitalife Clinic. She is a life member of the reputed FOGSI (The Federation of Obstetric and Gynecological Societies of India). She is friendly with her patients and has ease in communicating with them due to her ability to speak various languages like Hindi, Malayalam, Marathi, Kannada, etc. She is a life member of SFM (Society of Foetal Medicine) in India. She has also worked with Apollo Cradle as their Foetal Medicine Consultant. She is well-known among her patients for her good interpretation of reports or data. She is a team player and is committed to giving a comfortable experience to all of her patients. She actively participates in the activities of the Bangalore Society of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists and is also a part of the Foetal Foundation of India.
