Dr. Rajshekhar C. Jaka is a robotic surgeon and surgical oncologist who practises in Bangalore. His career spans over 22 years, of which 10 were spent as a specialist. In matters involving cancer, he is an expert. He holds an MBBS degree, MS, D NB (GS), DNB (Surgical Oncology), FR CS, and Robotic Fellowship, and is European Board Certified. He had undergone training for robotic surgery at the Rosewell Park Cancer Institute, New York. Dr. Rajshekhar C Jaka is an expert when it comes to robotic surgery. His area of the domain extends over to other fields as well. He is an expert in surgeries such as rectal cancer surgery, throat cancer surgery, kidney and urologic cancer surgery, colonic cancer surgery and gastrointestinal cancer surgery. He is also an expert in the gynaecological department and performs surgical procedures such as breast conservative surgery and ovary, uterus, and gynecologic cancer surgery. He performs surgical procedures related to cancer such as food pipe cancer, stomach, and colon ic cancer and parotid cancer. He also performs other procedures such as mediastinoscopy, tongue, cheek and oral cancer surgery, thyroid surgery, gynaecological oncology and soft tissue sarcoma surgery. In the year 2006, he was awarded the Mysore surgical society PG Award. In the year 2000, he secured the first rank in the state in the Psychiatry prize exam. He came in 5th in the state in M.S., RG UHS Karnataka in the year 2010. He received the Mysore surgical society poster award in the year 2011. In the year 2012, he received the Gulbar ga Sri Sharanabasaveshwara Award. He has also received numerous fellowships such as in the year he received both the GCRI- Baro da minimally Invasive Traveling Fellowship and the UICC (Union of International Against Cancer Control) fellowship. In 2015, he was awarded the Millennium Gold Medal Award for “Total robotic three-stage esophagectomy,”. He is a well-recognised physician in the medical community. Since 2016, he has been the joint secretary of the Surgical Society of Bangalore. He has been the secretary of the Surgical Society of Bangalore since 2018. Additionally, he was also a national EC member of the Association of Breast Surgeons of India (ABSI), an EC member of the Bangalore Oncology Group, director for Education & Training, South India for the ABSI, Vice President of the Bangalore Oncology Group (BOG) from 2019-2020, reviewer for the Indian Journal of Gynecologic Oncology (IJGO), and is also the current chairman of the Sankalpa Chase Cancer Foundation and Research Trust in Bangalore.
