Dr. Kasthuri T. S. is a Consultant - Surgical Gastroenterology with over 11 years of experience in the field of performing various gastrointestinal surgeries. She has experience in performing both elective and emergency surgeries, including major and minor surgeries, endoscopy, and laparoscopic procedures. She has also managed patients in outpatient clinics, burns patients, and surgical ICUs. She is one of the best surgical gastroenterology consultant in Jayanagar. Dr. Kasthuri’s academic qualifications include MBBS from Stanley Medical College, Chennai, and MS in General Surgery from Stanley Medical College, Chennai. After completing her MCh in Surgical Gastroenterology from Bangalore Medical College, she has been working as an Assistant Professor in Surgical Gastroenterology at the same college since October 2021. She has also worked as a private practitioner in general surgery and as an Assistant Professor in General Surgery at SRM Medical College, Kattankulathur, and Sathya Sai Medical College, Kanchipuram district. In addition to her practical experience, Dr. Kasthuri has presented several papers on various medical topics such as branchial cysts, testicular carcinoma, and the management of PUJ obstruction in the horse-shoe kidney, and she has attended several conferences and workshops related to surgery. She has also been awarded membership of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and has been awarded a fellowship of the Indian Association of Gastrointestinal Surgeons.
