About Me

Dr. Sivagnanam has been part of the Manipal Hospitals from August 2005, initially as a Paediatric Intensivist (2005-2016), then as Head of the Paediatric ER from 2016 to date. She is passionate about patient safety and Quality of care. The first of its kind Paediatric Emergency Team (PET), the Paediatric counterpart of the Medical Emergency Team (MET) was founded by her. Paediatric codes (Code blue, trauma and tracheostomy codes) were introduced by her for MHB. She is also the patient safety officer for the Paediatric division,at Manipal Hospital. HUES(Handling Unexpected Emergencies in Schoolchildren) is yet another first of its kind corporate social awareness workshop, conducted by her team for parents and teachers to equip them with skills that will prepare them to handle unexpected emergencies at school/home. She is the top Emergency pediatrist in Old Airport Road.
