Dr. Anand Patil is an accomplished urologist in Bangalore with expertise in various aspects of urological care. He is currently associated with Manipal Hospitals' urology department and with his dedication and patient care he is known to be the best urologist in Old Airport Road. Dr. Patil completed his MBBS from S Nijalingappa Medical College, Bagalkot in 2012, followed by an MS in General Surgery from Vijayanagar Institute of Medical Science, Bellary in 2016. Dr. Patil further pursued a DrNB in Urology from Manipal Hospitals Old Airport Road Bengaluru in 2021 and is currently pursuing a Vattikuti Robotic Fellowship with the Vattikuti Foundation. On the career front, Dr. Anand Patil is associated with Manipal Hospital Old Airport Road, Bengaluru as an Associate Consultant in Urology. The doctor has a diverse range of skills and experience in the field of urology which include uro-oncology, endo-urology procedures (TURP, TURBT, URSL, OIU, PCNL, CLTs, Botox injection, etc.), open, laparoscopic, and robotic surgeries (Simple and radical nephrectomy, pyeloplasty, ureteral-lithotomy, varicocelectomy, etc.), USG-guided procedures (PCN and PCD insertion, TRUS guided prostatic biopsy, SPC insertion), as well as renal transplants. Dr. Patil has been actively involved in numerous surgeries, both as a primary surgeon and as an assistant. He has performed over 15 renal transplant recipient surgeries, 20 laparoscopic renal donor surgeries, and over 50 renal transplant surgeries for recipients. He has also assisted in over 300 laparoscopic surgeries and performed at least 25 robotic surgeries. In addition, Dr. Patil is proficient in the assessment and management of Female Urology and Neuro-Urology. Apart from his clinical responsibilities, Dr. Anand Patil is a member of the Association of Surgeons of India (ASI), the Urological Society of India (USI), and the Karnataka Urological Association (KUA). He is dedicated to teaching and actively participates in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching activities. He has been contributing his knowledge in the field of urology through research papers, talks, publications, and virtual as well as offline presentations at prestigious conferences. Some of his research papers at the conferences include – an e-paper on “Evaluation of Urinary Incontinence After Robot-Assisted Radical Prostatectomy” at the KUACON 2020 and “Comparison of Outcome of extra Corporeal Neobladder Formation vs Intra Corporeal Neobladder formation following Robot-Assisted Radical Cystectomy” at USICON 2023. During his academic years, he was involved in clinical case presentations, bedside discussions, seminars, and journal clubs, and was a mentor to junior residents.
