Dr. Rahul N. S. is a vascular and endovascular surgery consultant, currently working with the Manipal Hospitals at Old Airport Road in Bangalore. Overall, he has 20 years of experience as a vascular and diabetic foot surgeon, including 15 years as a specialist. He has also performed bypass and angioplasty surgeries for treating swollen limbs, varicose veins, and peripheral vascular diseases in diabetics. He has worked on AV access creation for those who have chronic kidney diseases (CKDs). Dr. Rahul completed his MBBS in 2003 from the J.S.S. Medical College in Mysore. He did his MS in General Surgery in 2007 from JJMMC (Jagadguru Jayadeva Murugarajendra Medical College). He completed his MCh in Vascular Surgery in the year 2014 from the M.S.Ramaiah Medical College in Bangalore. He became the first person to get an MCh degree from any university in the state of Karnataka. He also has other degrees like FVES and MS that he completed in Austria. Dr. Rahul is an acclaimed Vascular Surgeon in Old Airport Road Bangalore. Dr. Rahul N.S. is an expert in performing aortic and peripheral vascular procedures for treating critical limb ischaemia. He has performed endovascular interventions to treat various complex diseases of diabetic foot patients. For treating varicose veins, he has performed minimally invasive procedures and deep vein interventions for treating other chronic and venous disorders. Dr. Rahul is a member of the Vascular Society of India, the Association of Surgeons of India, and the Vascular Surgeons Association of Karnataka. He has attended many national and international conferences. He often gets invited as a panellist or speaker at various conferences and symposiums: He was a part of VSICON in Chennai in 2021 as a speaker and a panellist, wherein he talked about the current scenario of the challenges in vascular surgery. He was a speaker at the VSICON in 2019 in Hyderabad as well. He attended LINC Asia Pacific in 2018 in Hong Kong, where he spoke about Lutonix DCB. He also participated in other conferences like VEITH symposium in New York, VSICON Kodaikanal, VSICON Jaipur, Charring Cross Symposium in London, and UIP in Poland. He spoke about guidelines for using VC filters at Vellore in 2015. He can speak in Kannada, English, Hindi, and Telugu. Dr. Rahul N. S. is also proficient in vascular surgery and angioplasty. Overall, his areas of expertise include performing complex aortic and peripheral vascular procedures for patients suffering from critical limb ischaemia, endovascular interventions for complications in patients with diabetic foot, and AV access salvage interventions in CKD patients. He has worked with many prestigious medical institutions in the country during his career. He has also received many awards and recognition for his contributions.
