Dr. Supriya has completed her training in Paediatrics at St. John’s Hospital and Manipal Hospitals, Bangalore, both renowned institutions for post-graduation in Paediatrics in India. After this, she worked at Manipal Hospitals in the Paediatric Emergency Department and Paediatric Pulmonology Department, before undertaking a two-year position as a Senior Fellow in Paediatric Respiratory and Sleep Medicine at University Hospital Southampton, UK, which is a distinguished institution for paediatric respiratory and sleep medicine, that has pioneered research in cystic fibrosis and paediatric sleep medicine. She has been awarded a Fellowship in Paediatric Respiratory and Sleep Medicine from the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health, UK and a Diploma in Paediatric Respiratory Medicine from the European Respiratory Society. She has also completed an Allergy Asthma Specialist course certified by Bharatiya Vidyapeeth, Colorado School of Public Health and American Academy of Allergy Asthma and Immunology, USA in 2021. She is the foremost pediatric pulmonologist in Bangalore. Dr. Supriya’s areas of expertise include Paediatric Asthma, Cystic Fibrosis, Chronic Lung Disease, Paediatric Sleep Medicine for conditions such as Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA), Sleep-disordered breathing in children with Neuromuscular Disease, Home Mechanical Ventilation, Excessive Daytime Sleepiness, Chronic Insomnia in Children, Circadian Rhythm Disorders, and Movement Disorders in Sleep. As a paediatric pulmonologist and sleep medicine expert in Bangalore, Dr. Supriya’s focus is on improving overall health outcomes for children by working in concert with the family, both in identifying each child's needs and in providing solutions. Dr. Supriya is also extremely keen on research and has presented several posters and papers at national and international conferences.
