About Me

Dr Sarath Gopalan is an established pediatric Gastroenterologist and Hepatologist working at Madhukar Rainbow Children's Hospital, New Delhi as a Senior Consultant Pediatric Gastroenterologist and Hepatologist. He have functioned as Director Medical Affairs for Reckitt at South Asia in the Infant & Child Nutrition and Gaviscon portfolios for two and a half years (January 2020 - June 2022). He had been a practicing Pediatric Gastroenterologist and Hepatologist in New Delhi and the National Capital Region (NCR) for 23 years. Area of expertise : (i) Pediatric Gastroenterology and Hepatology, (ii) Enteral and Parenteral nutrition, (iii) Public Health and Nutrition. (iv) He have a keen interest in the area of Functional Gastrointestinal Disorders, Celiac Disease, Probiotics & Prebiotics in modification of the intestinal microbiome, Food Allergy and Long Chain Polyunsaturated Fatty Acids (LCPUFA) with special reference to DHA (Docosahexaenoic Acid) in health and disease. (v) He was the Editor of the quarterly publication " Nutrition in Disease Management" of the CRNSS (Centre for Research on Nutrition Support Systems) based in New Delhi for 21 years ( a total of 84 quarterly issues from January 1999 - October 2019).
