Dr. N. Balamurugan has over 12 years of experience in Pediatrics and over 5 years of experience in Pediatric Neurology Dr. Balamurugan Nagarajan is our Pediatric Neurology Consultant. He is a very skillful clinician and a very knowledgeable and a compassionate doctor. He completed his schooling at Petit Seminaire Higher Secondary School, Puducherry, India. He completed his MBBS at Pondicherry Institute of Medical Sciences, Puducherry, India with Gold medal in General Medicine and distinctions in Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry, General Medicine and Pediatrics. He completed his postgraduate Diploma in Child Health from the prestigious Institute of Child health and Hospital for Children, Madras Medical College, Chennai, India. He completed his DNB (Diplomate in National board in Pediatrics) at the popular Dr. Mehta Children’s Hospital, Chennai, India. He subsequently completed his super-specialty fellowship in Pediatric Neurology from Indira Gandhi Institute of Child Health, Bengaluru followed by DM Pediatric Neurology in the prestigious and renowned Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER), Chandigarh, India. He is a passionate teacher and is interested in Clinical teaching, Medical Education and Clinical Research. He was the recipient of Dr. V. Balagopala Raju award for the best research paper presented at Vellore South Pedicon in 2015 and best poster award under epilepsy category in Neuropedicon at New Delhi in 2018 . He has won many prestigious awards in quizzes and academic/research forums. He has more than twenty publications in International and National indexed journals and has contributed to five book chapters.
