• Dr. Bishal Bhagat is a senior consultant in the Department of Orthopaedics at Manipal Hospitals, Mukundapur, Kolkata, with an overall 24 years of experience, including 12 years of dedicated focus in the field. Dr. Bhagat completed his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from Nil Ratan Sircar Medical College, and his Master of Surgery (MS) in Orthopaedics, followed by pursuing a Diplomate of the National Board (DNB) in Orthopaedics. He later honed his surgical skills under many eminent orthopaedic surgeons, including Dr. P.K. Bannerji, enabling him to deliver the highest standards of orthopaedic care for his patients. • Dr. Bhagat specialises in addressing several traumatic injuries that arise in the shoulder, spine, hip, knee, and ankle by employing several procedures, which include Total Hip and Knee Replacement Surgeries, Arthroscopic Surgeries, such as Shoulder Arthroscopy and Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL) Reconstruction, Rotatory Cuff Surgeries, and interventions related to sports injuries. His vast credentials and experience have empowered him to effectively collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, ensuring comprehensive care while staying at the forefront of recent advancements in Orthopaedic Surgery. • Dr. Bhagat is a life member of the Indian Medical Association (IMA), South Kolkata region, where he actively participates in professional activities. His oratory skills are highly praised, winning him the Best Poster Presentation Award at the Annual Conference of the West Bengal Orthopaedic Association (WBOACON). Fluent in the languages of English, Hindi, and Bengali, his proficiency in the languages has helped him build a strong rapport, along with providing compassionate and personalised care to patients from different linguistic backgrounds.
