• Dr. Jayati Sengupta is a well-reputed paediatrician and neonatologist based in Kolkata. She is currently serving as a consultant in the Department of Paediatrics and Neonatology at Manipal Hospitals, Mukundapur, Kolkata. With an illustrious career spanning over 26 years, Dr. Sengupta has made significant contributions to the fields of Paediatric Nephrology and Child Healthcare. She completed her MBBS with honours from Calcutta Medical College and earned her MD in Paediatrics from the University College of Medicine, Kolkata. She further specialised in Paediatric Nephrology at Birmingham Children’s Hospital in the UK, where she developed a keen interest in the subspecialty. Her expertise in Paediatric Nephrology has been recognised nationally and internationally. She is a Renowned Paediatrician in Kolkata. • She is a life member of several prestigious national and international organisations, such as the International Paediatric Nephrology Association (IPNA), and the Indian Academy of Paediatrics (IAP). Moreover, Dr. Sengupta has been a regular faculty member at national conferences such as PEDICON and ISPNCON, contributing her knowledge and experience in Paediatric Nephrology. She has also served as the organising secretary for the 2010 National Conference of the Indian Society of Paediatric Nephrology. Her commitment to education extends to being a Paediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) course instructor and a faculty member at major state and national conferences in paediatrics and neonatology. • Her research work has gained international recognition, with original studies presented at conferences in Shanghai and Venice. She has authored chapters in notable textbooks on Paediatric Nephrology and has numerous publications in peer-reviewed national and international journals. Her research interests include steroid-dependent nephrotic syndrome, vitamin D in nephrotic syndrome remission, and paediatric acute kidney injury. In addition to her clinical and research endeavours, Dr. Sengupta has been a guiding force for students in the Department of Clinical Pharmacology and Clinical Research at Jadavpur University.
