• Dr. Chinmay Kumar Maity is a well-reputed Internal Medicine specialist with an impressive 34 years of experience. He brings his proficient skills as a General Physician to the Internal Medicine Department of Manipal Hospitals, Mukundapur, Kolkata. He completed his MBBS degree from Calcutta Medical College, a Diploma in Tropical Medicine and Health (DTM&H) from the School of Tropical Medicine, Calcutta, and an MD in Internal Medicine from IPGMER, Calcutta, under the University of Calcutta. He later obtained MRCP and FRCP qualifications from the Royal College of Physicians in both the UK and Glasgow. He further received advanced training in Geriatric Medicine and Internal Medicine at the National Health Service (NHS), UK, amassing significant skills in handling patients with complex conditions. He is a top General Physician in Kolkata. • Dr. Maity’s clinical practice spans emergency, in-patient, and outpatient settings. His speciality areas include Geriatric Medicine and General Medicine, offering treatment for back pain, diabetes, fever, stomach pain, etc. In the field of academics, he has actively contributed through regular participation in infection control meetings, departmental clinical meetings, and regional and national Continuing Medical Education (CME) meetings. He also teaches medical and nursing students regularly. As an educational supervisor, he has guided trainees, including registrars, senior house officers, house officers, and medical students. He is actively involved in training Diplomate of National Board (DNB) postgraduate trainees in General Medicine and Family Medicine. • Dr. Maity has made significant contributions in the fields of research and publication, both at home and abroad. He has served as a panel physician for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), USA, and Australian Panel of Medical and Radiological Examiners for many years. He is an MRCP (UK) PACES Examiner as well. Trained in Geriatric Medicine, he is practising, teaching, and training on Geriatric health care issues. He is actively involved in spreading social awareness regarding issues related to elderly health care through medical journals, newspapers, and social media. Dr. Maity is a life member of the Geriatric Society of India (GSI) and an active member of the West Bengal State Branch (WB) since its inception.
