• Dr. Subhash Kr. Todi is a distinguished critical care specialist at Manipal Hospitals, Mukundapur, Kolkata, with an illustrious career spanning 32 years, including 30 years of focus in Critical Care. He completed his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS), followed by a Doctor of Medicine (MD) in Medicine. Dr. Todi later obtained a membership from the prestigious Royal College of Physicians (MRCP) in the UK, establishing himself as one of the renowned experts in his field. • Renowned for being an expert in Critical Care, Internal and Acute Medicine, Sepsis Management, Ventilatory Management, Glycemic Control, and Nutrition, Dr. Todi specialises in the comprehensive management of critically ill patients in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). As the director of the Critical Care Department at Manipal Hospitals, Mukundapur, he plays a crucial role in developing guidelines and protocols for Critical Care Management, ensuring standardised patient care, and enhancing the quality and safety of critical care practices. • Dr. Todi is a distinguished member of prestigious societies such as the Indian Society of Critical Care Medicine (ISCCM), the Society of Critical Care Medicine (SCCM), the European Society of Intensive Care Medicine (ESCIM), and the Association of Physicians of India (API). His fluency in English, Hindi, and Bengali ensures effective communication with patients and medical staff alike, fostering a collaborative and patient-centred approach to critical care management. • Additionally, Dr. Todi’s contributions extend beyond clinical practice. Dr. Todi was also an editor for the publication titled ‘ISCCM Critical Care Update’ from 2017 to 2024. As a critical care specialist in Kolkata, his leadership in Critical Care is further demonstrated through his roles in organising medical symposiums and chairing committees, namely the ISCCM Research Committee, and in CRITICARE, 2013.
