• Dr. Kanchan Bhattacharyya is a seasoned orthopaedic surgeon at Manipal Hospitals, Dhakuria, Kolkata, with extensive experience of over 34 years in performing orthopaedic surgery, Arthroscopy, and Arthroplasty. He brings immense medical knowledge and surgical expertise to benefit his patients. A well-experienced Orthopedician in Kolkata began his journey in the medical field with an MBBS, followed by an MS in orthopaedics. He further pursued a DNB in orthopaedics and a Diploma in Orthopaedics. • Starting his professional career as a trauma surgeon, Dr. Bhattacharyya received extensive training in basic and advanced procedures. Deeply committed to expanding the field of orthopaedics, he has spent about 10 years training surgeons in AO trauma courses as a faculty member. A pioneer in performing Arthroscopic and Joint Replacement procedures, he introduced these techniques to Eastern India and was one of the first to perform Knee and Hip Replacements in the region. Over his 34-year career, he has performed thousands of surgeries and routinely conducted training programmes for Arthroscopy and Arthroplasty. He has treated several international athletes for knee and shoulder injuries and has helped them get back to pre-injury performance levels. • In addition to his illustrious professional career, Dr. Bhattacharyya has published several papers in India and abroad and is a member of several prestigious associations. Known for his compassionate patient care, he has handled numerous complex medical cases, gaining a reputation for his attention to detail, accurate diagnosis, and empathetic treatment.
