• Dr. Rajib Basu is a well-regarded orthopaedic specialist in the Department of Orthopaedics at Manipal Hospitals Dhakuria, with an overall 29 years of experience, coupled with 19 years of focus on the specialisation. Dr. Basu's medical journey began with the completion of a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from Calcutta University, followed by a post-graduation Master of Chirurgiae (MCh) in Orthopaedics from the University of Dundee, UK. He later broadened his expertise by earning a fellowship from the Royal College of Surgeons at Edinburg, UK (FRCS-Edin). • Dr. Basu specialises in addressing several orthopaedic trauma-related cases, including critical and emergency cases, and is adept at performing various Open and Minimal Invasive Orthopaedic Surgeries, such as Primary and Revision Arthroplasty. Replacement Surgeries for joints and hips, and other intricate Revision Surgeries. Moreover, he is dedicated to advancing the field of Orthopaedics by mentoring students in the basic surgical skills course at Ninewells Hospital and Medical School, Dundee, Scotland, under the auspices of the Royal College of Surgeons, Edinburg. His academic excellence was acknowledged with the esteemed Ian Smillie Award in 2004 during his MCh programme.
