• Dr. Suranjan Mukherjee is a distinguished senior consultant pulmonologist in Dhakuria, Kolkata, with 32 years of extensive experience, including 25 years as a specialist in his field. Dr. Mukherjee obtained his MD in General Medicine after completing his MBBS from Kolkata University. He later underwent specialist training in Respiratory and General Medicine in the UK. He also earned a membership from the prestigious Royal College of Physicians (RCP), a Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) in Respiratory and General Medicine, and is on the specialist register of the General Medical Council (GMC). Following his completion of training, Dr. Mukherjee served as a consultant at Stafford Hospital while holding the position of clinical lecturer at the distinguished Keele University. • His contributions to the field are evident through publications in various esteemed national and international journals. He is also a reviewer of the British Medical Journal (BMJ), underscoring his role in maintaining the quality of medical research. Dr. Mukherjee holds fellowships from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons (FRCS) in Glasgow, the Royal College of Physicians (FRCP) in London, and the American College of Chest Physicians (FCCP). He is also a distinguished member of the American Thoracic Society (ATS), the Indian Chest Society (ICS), and the European Respiratory Society (ERS). Dr. Mukherjee has mentored many medical students at various universities during his tenure in the UK, including Newcastle University and St. George’s Medical School.
