• Dr. Rachita Chengappa has carved a distinguished career in the field of Oral Medicine and Radiology, with a solid foundation in general dentistry, amassing 15 years of comprehensive experience. Since 2015, she has specialized in Oral Medicine and Radiology, bringing a wealth of knowledge and expertise to her practice. Currently, she serves as a practising dentist and consultant in Kolkata, a position she has held since 2017. She is the Best Dentist In Broadway. • Dr. Chengappa began her professional journey as a dental surgeon at a top dental clinic in Mysore, where she worked from January 2011 to April 2012. Her dedication and skill in the field soon led her to an academic role as a senior lecturer in the Department of Oral Medicine and Radiology at the Coorg Institute of Dental Sciences from August 2015 to January 2017. During her tenure, she also worked as a consultant at the Samadhan Wellness Clinic, associated with the same institute. • Dr. Chengappa’s clinical expertise spans both general dentistry and specialized oral medicine. She has authored several original research papers, including a radiographic cross-sectional study on cephalometric characteristics of patients with temporomandibular joint disorders, published in the Journal of the Indian Academy of Oral Medicine and Radiology in 2013. She also led a clinical study on primary antibiotic susceptibility against streptococci in odontogenic infections, published in the International Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences and Drug Research in 2015. Another significant study she contributed to compared taste thresholds in smokers and non-smokers, was published in the Journal of Clinical Diagnostic Research in 2016, which is indexed on PubMed. Furthermore, she explored methodologies for assessing oral dryness in postmenopausal women, with her findings published in the Journal of Midlife Health in 2016, also indexed on PubMed. • In addition to original research, Dr. Chengappa has authored notable case reports. Her work on Schulze and Brand type a-IV dens invaginatus with a radicular cyst was published in the Journal of the Indian Academy of Oral Medicine and Radiology in 2015.
