• Dr. Kanchan Bhattacharyya is a highly esteemed senior consultant in the Orthopaedics Department at Manipal Hospitals, Broadway, Kolkata, with a distinguished career spanning 34 years of experience. His academic journey began with an MBBS degree, followed by a D(ORTHO), MNAMS (DNB), and MS. Dr. Bhattacharyya's career commenced as a trauma surgeon, where he gained extensive experience in both basic and advanced trauma surgery techniques. Over the years, he transitioned into Arthroscopic surgery and joint replacements, becoming a pioneer in Eastern India. • Dr. Bhattacharyya introduced modern Arthroscopy to the region and was among the first to perform knee and hip replacements in Kolkata. He has performed thousands of Arthroscopic procedures on the knee, shoulder, elbow, and other joints. His expertise also extends to training and education, where he has been a distinguished faculty member for AO trauma courses and has conducted numerous training programs and fellowships in Arthroscopy and Arthroplasty. • Dr. Bhattacharyya has treated numerous international-level athletes, helping them recover from knee and shoulder injuries and return to peak performance. His comprehensive unit at Manipal Hospitals is renowned for executing cutting-edge procedures in joint replacement surgery with a high success rate.
