Dr. Vivek Vij, a visionary in liver transplant surgery with over 25 years of surgical expertise, holds the position of Chairman - Liver Transplant and Hepatobiliary Sciences, at Fortis Group of Hospitals. In 2015, he was honoured with a special award at International Liver Transplant Society (ILTS), in Chicago. Dr. Vij has authored over 50+ national and international publications and presentations on liver surgery and transplantation, making significant contributions to advancements in the field. His research, primarily focused on living donor transplants and the medical management of liver disease patients, has been featured in leading indexed journals, including the American Journal of Transplantation and Liver Transplantation. He is the only candidate from India to be selected in 2005 for Roche Preceptorship Training Program in University of Alabama, Birmingham, USA.
